Mr. Arasi argues that those so-called
democrats and
patriots who advocate “Regime Change” are indeed
supporting a US-Iran war and creating another Iraq.
He also argues that they are betraying Iran and
committing crime against America.

| Getting to know AIC Board Members - Judith Kipper |

Judith Kipper is also the Director of the
Middle East
Forum at the Council on Foreign Relations and is a
consultant on international affairs for ABC News.
During the 1990 Gulf crisis, she testified as an expert
witness before congressional committees. Ms. Kipper,
who travels frequently to the Middle East, negotiated
interviews for and accompanied Peter
Jennings, "World News Tonight," ABC News, to
Baghdad in 1990 to interview President Mikhail
Gorbachev. She participated in the Middle East and
North Africa economic summits in Casablanca (1994)
and in Amman (1995). Co-editor of The Middle East in
Global Perspective (Westview, 1991) and editor of
The Arab-Israeli Military Balance and the Art of
Operations (University Press of America, 1987), Ms.
Kipper speaks and writes frequently on Middle
Eastern and international affairs.

at the UN Security Council to censure and isolate
Iran on the nuclear standoff, yet there may be a
path out of this quandary through prudent diplomacy

The present international preoccupation
with Iran’s
nuclear program has reached crisis proportions. The
fiasco started when Iran’s nuclear program was
perceived with a cloud of suspicion, mainly expressed
by the United States and Israel. Since 2003, the
IAEA has been inspecting Iran’s nuclear program.
After three years of inspections, the conclusion is
that Iran does not have a nuclear weapons program.
The current situation is rather filled with tension and
a resolution has not been reached.

The vision of the American Iranian Council is that the
United States and Iran will work together, since their
common interests far outweigh their differences. AIC
also envisions the Iranian-American community
playing an increasingly significant role in American
society, and Iran becoming a democratically
developed member of the global community with full
respect for human rights.

Mission
The mission of AIC is to be a constructive force, in
cooperation and partnership with other organizations,
in bringing the United States and Iran together,
involving the Iranian-American community in the
dialogue, and bringing attention to social and political
conditions in Iran.

Goals The three
interrelated goals of the American Iranian Council
are:
1.
To serve as a platform for sustained dialogue on U.S.-
Iran relations.
2. To serve as a catalyst to educate all Americans,
including Iranian-Americans, regarding this
dialogue.
3. To serve as a forum for discussion of issues of
importance in Iranian society.
